In Good Times and Bad
It stands to reason that in ministry there are plenty of good times and plenty of bad times. As I'm sitting at my computer tonight, I caught myself thinking about our struggles and all of the things Satan tries to do to bring us down, but with all of this going on I sense the Spirit guiding my thoughts to something else...
Through all of my failures, God is always faithful. Now I see our circumstances from a different perspective. If God is always faithful when I grieve Him, should I not also be faithful in the midst of my grief? Between myself and God, who is more worthy of faith bestowed? Yet God is faithful to us despite our imperfections.
Even knowing this, encouragement can still seem just out of reach in the face of such overwhelming difficulties. So this is my prayer...
"God, you have been so faithful to us. Your grace has sustained us and given us strength. Today we ask for more grace. You are worthy of our praise and we place our faith only in You. Take my life and let it be consecrated, Lord, to thee. Take my will and make it thine. It shall be no longer mine."
